Give to Community Refuge Ministry

We don't teach tithing as a legal mandate, but we do guide our church family toward it as a time-honored stewardship principle. Abraham gave a tenth to Melchizedek freely, before the Law ever existed. The writer of Hebrews later points to that very moment to show that Melchizedek's priesthood, and by extension Christ's, is greater than the Levitical priesthood, meaning the principle of giving in that encounter predates and transcends the Law altogether. God then wove it into the Law of Moses, and in the New Testament church it was exceeded entirely, as believers gave far beyond a tenth because they esteemed it all as God's anyway.

We want to be upfront with you. If you are planted in a local church, give there first. That is where your tithe belongs. Beyond that, if the Lord is leading you toward generosity, we welcome whatever He places on your heart and commit to being faithful with every dollar received.
